Enlisting in the Navy after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Mr. Taylor flew a Grumman F6F Hellcat fighter from the decks of aircraft carriers in the Pacific, including the Enterprise, for which he named his company. A new nonprofit started by a granddaughter of Enterprise Holdings founder Jack Taylor is planning to put $20 million into a new campus in St. Louis Fox Park neighborhood.
